Luis Bofill is a band leader, singer, and minor percussionist that started his career at the end of the 70’s with the ”Movimiento de la Nueva Trova” at University of Havana as a member of the group ”Cuba Nueva” which played traditional Cuban music. ln the late 80’s, he left Cuba for Europe where he performed with several bands such as “Color Latino”, “Salsamania”, and created his own band “Nueva Vision” in Berlin. He moved to Miami in 1994 and performed at one of the hottest nightclubs in the city, Café Nostaglia. There he recorded two productions; ”Cafe Nostaglia live!” and “Te di la Vida entera”. Since 2000, he formed his own band and has performed on stages in South America and the United States. He recorded an album ”Costumbres” with SONY-BMG Latin and his latest album “Made in Habana” was produced by Descemer Bueno (producer of Enrique lglesias, Yerbabuena, Cubiche) and Roberto Carcasses. Luis has earned the title of “King of Miami Nights” and has recently released his most popular recording to date ”Tribute to Arsenio Rodriguez” (the iconic Cuban born composer and bandleader) which has catapulted him to new heights of popularity, expanding his local and international fan base in the process.
